TJ was born in Bella Coola, B.C., and has lived on Vancouver Island most of his life. TJ completed a B.Sc. in Geoscience from Vancouver Island University in 2019 and began working with LEA in 2020 following his prior employment with the BC Wildfire Service. He’s actively developing his skills as a geoscientist and is pursuing his professional designation as a Professional Geoscientist.

TJ is a licensed pilot and spends his free time flying to remote destinations and is passionate about the outdoors. He also enjoys weightlifting, surfing, skiing, and mountain biking.
